Scheduling a Court Trial

A court trial is a formal trial requiring you and the officer to appear in court. You will be able to question the officer who gave you the ticket, bring witnesses, present evidence, and argue the law.

You can go to court on the date and time shown on your ticket or reminder notice that the court mailed to you, and ask the clerk for a court date for an arraignment hearing.

Please note, contested court trials are currently being held via zoom, unless otherwise notified.

More information is available on the court's website at: www.courts.ca.gov/34711.htm.
